Totem Meditation 02/27/2009
![]() Doing a Totem Animal meditation is easier than you think. Find a quite space and time. I prefer at night before I go to bed. This enhances my dream state and though nothing may happen during meditation it may happen in your dream. (see my Animal Totem at my web sight www.forrestdweller.com for details). Make sure you are comfortable work out any kinks, itches or pinches. Breath deeply letting your belly fill with breath then let it out slowly from your chest out your nose. Very slowly. You should start to feel a sensation in your third eye. On your forehead between your eyes. This means its open. Then focus on the third eye, you may see light, you may not. Just allow and focus on the third eye. Now while keeping your attention on the third eye area start putting a request out that you want to know your Totem Animal. Stay in this state for as long as you want but at least fifteen minutes. Nothing may come but start being aware in your waking state of signs and symbols of your animal. Also note your dreams. Have fun with this! A Totem Animal is one that stays with you all your life. Others will come and go but your Totem Animal is a deep connection. |
