A New Year, I feel so blessed to be here. With my feet on the threshold of three-hundred-sixty-five days to do whatever I want with. What will I create? What will I be on December 31, 2010? Oh how exciting! Oh what a gift! A whole year.

Tonight we will greet the New Year, open our doors and welcome it in. Celebrating with Pizza and Ice tea. And giggle at the little ones that pass out...the ones who swear they can stay up. On New Years Day I join friends raising voices in song, glasses in toast and filling plates will abundance.

I shall bid farewell to 2009, thank it for all it brought, all the lessons it taught and all that will go away with it.

This year, I wish to be like a snow flake or more like water, that can turn into such a beautiful piece of natural art work, ever changing, ever allowing. Being what it is, water. Water that quenches without the intention of quenching, of becoming a home to the lives in the Ocean, without the intention of being such a home. And of creating the puddles to make fun and friendly feed to splash in, again without intention. It just is, allowing, changing without intent yet so amazing and ever abundant.

Find joy and appriciation in this new year. Find Joy, choose Happiness constantly.

With all that I am

Forrest

Feeding Birds 12/19/2009

We go through the Holiday season sending gifts and cards to our two legged friends and family. And even some of our four. But have we ever stopped to realize the other friends we have that we never even consider. The Trees that offer us shade during the hot supper months. The flower offering us fragrance and beauty that Vogue and Dior have tried to bottle and adorn their cover with. Or the flighty feather creatures that sing us awake in the morning and occasionally will leave us a gift of a nest, egg or feather. This year in praise of my feather friends I gave them time, food and decoration. Not only do I get the beauty of their company. But being so close to nature raises my and your spiritual vibration. I deliberately place my bird feeders so that I may enjoy the from inside the house as well. This one sits outside my diningroom window. After the holidays I Shove my table against this window and spend many hours here. I have learned much about the habits of birds and how the eat and mate just by moving my table. Every task, every meal spent at this table we grow and learn with the birds. My five year old can point out six different species. My ten year old can spot the male and female within the same species. Not that this makes it any more spiritual but is shows what such a simple act created in their lives and mine. Check out some other amazing pictures I took while creating this lovely setting at Spirit Photos.

Christmas Spirit

Christmas is a great time of year. And during this time there seems to be a lot of spiritual activity, especially around children. My daughter was just screaming because a boy ghost was standing in the hall way watching her play the flute. Naturally it startled her to see him, a stranger in the house. But when I explained to her that her flute playing along with the tree and the train circling under the tree, probably caught his attention. Just like toys catch her attention. So don’t be surprised if you have some extra special Christmas pictures.
