Choosing a Magical Creature is allot of fun. Your child will need very little encouragement and will probably wind up with more than one.

We wound up with a family magical creature "The Owl" and it has stayed prominent in our life for several years now. The owl in the picture is called Itsy and has a special perch in our living room. Where she stays until she is called off to Hogwarts to deliver or receive a message.

My Sons magical creature is a Dragon and my Daughters is a mermaid. Once one is choose you can have so much fun with them. The books were delivered by Itsy from Hagrid, since he is the teacher of Magical Creatures at Hogwarts. (This is part of our home schooling) And some of the mermaids I maid and some of the figurines were gifts. We have done iron on T’s drawn pictures, had mermaid birthday parties and dragon flying meditations. The idea will be to develop a relationship with the creature. Find books, look for it when you go out, draw pictures, make up stories and clay figurines. Have fun with it.
